Tabi Shoes in collaboration with Tokyo Yuzen craftsmen group “SOMEMOYO”. Based on the concept of “traveling with tradition,” these shoes are made of high-quality lamb leather and highly reproducible printed leather. The delicate yuzen patterns designed by SOMEMOYO's craftsmen are placed on the leather, creating a pair that can be worn as if you were barefoot. The craftsman's skill has enhanced the reproduction of the delicate original design so that when you put both feet together, they look like a single piece of artwork. The sheepskin used is of a high grade and is characterized by its plump elasticity and rubber-like resilience.
The two ukiyoe patterns of “Edo Beauty and Someiyoshino” were selected by Kumiko Machida, a SOMEMOYO artisan, from the works of “Kitagawa Tsukimaro”. The two patterns are from “Chojiya Nai Karauta Nishikio” and “Teika Kyo Goshiki Waka Aka”. The cherry blossoms combined with the ukiyoe are drawn by Miyuki Ohno. The combination of the cherry blossoms and the ukiyoe give the shoes a gorgeous feel.
